Kanye West and Christians

So.., I am cruising some the conservative websites for some “unbiased” news and I see flashed all over the place, “Christian condemn Kanye West Rolling Stone Cover, call it sacrilegious.
First off I am sick and tired of Christians getting furious over the trivial crap of life. Such as this cover or the fact that a homosexual man played a key part in the “End of the Spear movie. Do people realize that “The Passion had all sorts play roles in that movie; but did it minimize its impact or change the fact that there were miracles and conversions on the set of that movie? No way!
What would Jesus say to Kanye about this Rolling Stone cover? I really don’t know, but personally, he is not accountable to me or to any other Christian, he is accountable to God and Christ alone. If you don’t agree with him (which I do not by the way), pray for him or contact him personally. Kanye calls himself a believer; so, what is the biblical answer to discipline and reprimand? One on one, then two or three, and then finally open church discipline – no?
It makes all Christianity look silly when we fuss about such trivial matters. Kanye alone will answer to what he chooses to do. I find myself wondering why we don’t get righteously angry about 30 million orphans of Aids; why don’t we get righteously angry about world hunger and homelessness; why don’t’ we get righteously angry about child pornography and sex slavery?? Instead we worry about a guy who will come and go like grass in a field to be one day blown away like chaff in the wind.
Get a grip and start living out your faith in a genuine and compassionate way; and leave the griping to God!
