The Morning Sky

Pondering my melancholy mood,

I’m taken to a time of peace and calm.

My spirit glides across the fields

Of my minds eye, and there you are.

Like the gentle morning sky in which

Your gentleness is displayed

Amongst the billowy clouds,

In hues of gold and red.

Our spirits collide

Now; in your presence

I see the blood;

I see the pain;

I see the tears;

I begin to weep.

Our spirits divide

A temporary leave of absence

is now granted me;

Yet I see you in the dawn’s red sky,

with fresh tears on my cheeks.

Each new day; eager anticipation

Draws me back to your presence;

Melancholy no more; I learn to live,

yearn more to Love you and through you.

Written on my way into work one morning. I was in prayer and the sky was magnificent and I caught a glimpse of his prescence. God speaks in many ways my friends.
